Lippe Taylor Brand Communications received a prestigious Silver Award from Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M) magazine in recognition of the agency’s “Miracle Treatment of Lifelong Scars” public relations campaign, created and executed on behalf of Lumenis. The MM&M Awards recognize exceptional creativity and marketing effectiveness in healthcare. In just four years the MM&M Awards have evolved to become the premier program in the industry.
Though Lumenis made innovative advances in laser technology for treating severe burn victims, it had limited brand awareness. Lippe Taylor’s public relations campaign leveraged the emotional story of Lumenis’ treatments in repairing the 20-year-old scars of triplets who were badly burned as infants. With a limited budget, the campaign generated the biggest sales impact in Lumenis’ history. Media impressions exceeded 52 million, including segments on “20/20”, “Today” and “The Doctors”. One MM&M Awards judge described the campaign as “extremely successful and cost-effective.”
